What I Cover

I’m a senior writer and editor at BikeRide.com. I write bike reviews and video scripts, share editing duties, and assist with recruitment and training of new writers.

My Background

I joined BikeRide in 2023, excited by the opportunity to combine my passions for cycling and writing.

My rather eccentric career spans three continents and includes roles in IT, banking, construction, publishing, film/TV, and radio. I rode BMX in California in the ‘70s, joined Canadian road-bike rides in the ‘80s, and weathered British commutes in the ‘90s. Today, I mostly ride road and gravel in the South of England.

Journalistic Ethics

I spent thirty years working in and around news and journalism. I’ve witnessed first-hand, at times accompanied by the violence of war, the damage wrought by manipulative reporting.

I am proud to be part a team devoted to giving readers honest, accurate assessments of products available in the cycling industry.
