BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews
We have read all expert and user reviews on the GOTRAX F1. In summary, this is what cyclists think.
8 reasons to buy
- The GOTRAX F1 arrives fully assembled.
- The F1’s relatively low weight of 46.8lb makes it easier to lift and carry than most competitors.
- An expert says the “surprisingly powerful” 350W motor provides good acceleration on the throttle.
- The F1 proves an adept hill climber using pedal assistance or throttle.
- The standard F1’s 375Wh battery carries a 250lb tester 26.89 miles at 15mph on PAS 4, exceeding the stated range. Using throttle only, the bike covers 17.6 miles at 15mph.
- This bike comes with front and rear lights, including a flashing brake function.
- The F1 Version 2 (500Wh battery) includes a saddle bag, phone mount, lock, bell, mirrors, and tire levers.
- The saddle and handlebar height are easily adjusted to suit different riders.
12 reasons not to buy
- Despite the F1’s claimed IPX4 rating, the manual states, “Do not ride under wet conditions,” the bike “is not waterproof,” and “water damage is not covered by our warranty.”
- Lacking fenders, a cargo rack, and wet-weather protection, the F1 isn’t suited to commuting.
- GOTRAX provides no guidance on rider fit but a reviewer notes the low standover height and confirms the bike is comfortable for 5’6” and 5’11” riders.
- GOTRAX provides scant details on either version of the F1, hindering accurate assessment.
- The GOTRAX website says the F1 can carry 300lb. The user manual states 264lb, and as this may include the bike’s 46.8lb weight, the real capacity could be 217lb.
- The weedy 1.5A charger results in very long charging times.
- The V2’s included saddle bag obstructs the rear light if the seat is too low.
- A reviewer complains that it’s “difficult” to turn the key when removing the battery.
- Testers say the single-speed drivetrain makes pedaling difficult when pulling away or trying to maintain high speeds.
- One tester’s bike arrived with damage. Another’s needed attention to the brakes, crank, and wheel.
- Reviewers find the F1’s refusal to stay folded makes it inconvenient to carry.
- Owners complain of parts failing, and GOTRAX has a poor reputation for reliability and customer support.
Bottom line
The GOTRAX F1 is a budget-price folding e-bike with a 350W motor and a choice of 375Wh or 500Wh battery. The “punchy” motor, battery range, and hill-climbing ability impress testers, who also appreciate the bike arriving fully assembled. In addition to the bigger battery, the V2 build includes several handy accessories. The F1’s lack of cargo rack and fenders lessens its commuting utility, as does GOTRAX’s warning against riding in the rain. Testers and owners praise the F1’s value, particularly as a last-mile option, but the shortcomings of both the bike and GOTRAX should be carefully considered.Expert Reviews
