BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Puckipuppy Poodle. In summary, this is what cyclists think. Published Jan 13, 2026 by Jordan Grimes.

8 reasons to buy

  • A tester praises the relaxed, upright riding position and overall ride comfort.
  • The stem has 90 degrees of adjustability.
  • The Poodle comes with lights with brake activation, fenders, a rear rack rated for 55lb, a horn, and mounts for a front basket.
  • The hydraulic disc brakes provide ample stopping power, according to a tester.
  • Tests show that the Poodle climbs well for a commuter e-bike.
  • In one range test using max PAS and throttle in cold 40°F weather, the reviewer gets 20 miles from the battery.
  • The Poodle’s IPX6 water resistance rating is above average.
  • Puckipuppy customer support responds quickly.

3 reasons not to buy

  • The whole bike is awaiting UL certification at the time of writing, but the battery is UL 2271 certified.
  • The Poodle is rated for 5’2” to 6’4”, but a tester says riders over 6’ may find it too small.
  • A reviewer complains that the rear fender hits the rack while riding.

Bottom line

The Poodle is Puckipuppy’s first fully equipped commuter e-bike. The low step-through frame, swept-back handlebars, and relatively wide 2.4” tires make for a relaxed, comfortable, and approachable ride, according to the two testers. Like Puckipuppy’s other models, the Poodle lacks UL certification, which is unacceptable these days, and calls into question the safety of its electrical systems. Otherwise, the limited testing failed to highlight any other significant flaws, and the bike appears well-suited to commuting and urban rides, with highly competitive pricing. The Heybike Cityrun is a similar alternative, and has UL safety certification.

Puckipuppy… the Poodle… First Ever Commuter Bike!

… two little dings: [the] mirror suck, [and] the flappy rear fender that I fixed with double side 3M tape, but otherwise, this bike is outstanding.

Best Commuter E-Bike? Puckipuppy Poodle Review (2026)

… overall, I’m very happy with it. It looks good. It performs well, build quality is solid, and it doesn’t break the bank either.
