Magicshine Monteer 8000S Galaxy

This is a landmark light because of a few things, but the greatest attribute to note is the quality of construction and the consistency of the beam pattern. For the quality, usability, and lumens-per-dollar, it’s actually a good value.

It’s like daylight. No matter the speed, there is no problem seeing where I’m going. With 8000 lumen, the battery will last 90 mins, so the best thing is to use it at full power only during the descents.

This would have to be one of the ultimate bike lights on the market right now. It provides phenomenal lighting, opens up all sorts of nocturnal opportunities, and will seriously leave you startled. The elephant in the room is the price.

Trying to spot the rocks and gnarly sections, the lights came into their own. When we hit the climbs, I just send the light back down to the lower powers. It’s got that super-helpful mount, same as a Garmin.

I’m actually really looking forward to the winter, believe it or not, when the sun goes down early at four o’clock and I can keep going for another hour and a half, and get more laps in.

When you turn it back on it has a memory for whichever setting it was on before and it will go back, so say you’ve had it on full and then you turn it off you don’t have to go through all the settings when you turn it back on again.

For a lot of people, if they want to get a winter ride in their only option is a night ride and if you’re going to night ride regularly it’s worth it to get a good light. This light already changed night riding for me.

It’s that time of year again. The days are getting shorter and it means one thing: night biking time. These lights are brilliant. I really like them, very impressive, and for the money, fantastic value.

The Monteer 8000S was crazy bright. It lit up half the forest! It’s like a train coming across. It’s incredible. I could put this on my van and it would be better than my current lights.

I gotta say, this is such an awesome light. I totally do recommend it to anybody that wants to pick one up. I was super-stoked to see that this handlebar mount is in the box. It’s really high quality.

I really like this bike light; the features, the brightness, the durability make this the best bike light that I’ve ever used. If you want the remote, make sure you get the Version 2.0.

As you’re all aware, winter is now upon us. The cold nights have set in, and for a number of us the only way we’re going to shred the gnar is out on an evening ride with lights. Now that is pretty impressive as a light.

That’s on minimum… bit brighter… brighter-still and… mega-bright: that is ridiculous, completely ridiculous. This has been exposed to quite a lot of water and abuse and it hasn’t given me any problems.

It’s amazing to ride with the Magicshine Monteer 8000S in the darkness.

A great light to invest in. A lot of options, solid construction and a very useful remote. Suits people who need to ride when the sun isn’t up, whether that’s due to work/family commitments, training volume, or a preference for quieter trails.

The Monteer 8000 provides massive illumination even in the lower modes, and impressive burn time even on full power. For a through-the-night winter mission or power laps around the woods, this would be hard to beat.

We love the Monteer 8000 V2. It’s great value, and amazing power combined with a nice wide beam. It would be amazing to have some kind of visual on how much battery life you have left, but to be fair that’s nitpicking.

I’m blown away by the quality, spread of beam, brightness and battery life. For anyone serious about riding rough and challenging terrain at night, I can think of nothing else better to spend your money on.

The Monteer 8000S is the nicest light we have ever tried. With the ability to mount the light separate from the battery, you don’t have all that weight on the light that causes them to shift when you hit bumps.
