4 reasons not to buy

The ALLTY 1200 has an anti-glare lens, but two reviewers feel they should still be manually tilted to avoid blinding other road users.
The ALLTY 1200U’s position makes it hard to see battery status while riding.
A reviewer and buyer note that 1200U's GoPro adapter doesn't fit securely to some out-front computer mounts.
One tester calls the Magicshine app clumsy and opts for the default settings.

Bottom line

Magicshine ALLTY 1200 is a front bike light available in a version for the top of handlebars and one that mounts underneath (1200U). 1200 fits Garmin-style handlebar mounts or an optional helmet mount. The 1200U comes with a remote button and a full out-front bike computer mount. Some say the GoPro-style adapter fits poorly on other brands' out-front computer mounts. The sturdy aluminum casing and ease of use impress testers, who deem this light suitable for standalone use on unlit roads. Others use it off-road paired with a second light. Overall, experts feel the Magicshine ALLTY 1200 offers good value.

Though this light is intended for urban and road riding, I think this will make a good secondary light mounted on your bars for mountain bikes, too.
