Lectric XP 2.0 Step-Thru

If someone looking to buy their first e-bike were to ask me which one to get and that weren’t sure how much they were gonna ride it or where they were going to ride it, I would tell them to heavily consider the Lectric XP, mostly for how many features you get for the price.

My initial impressions of this new Lectric XP 2.0, very nice bike. The 2.0 is 2.Go!

The Lectric XP folding fat tire electric bike is an incredibly affordable offering with formidable specs and plenty of functionality.

The XP is not for you extreme off-roader dudes.

It does seem like it has pretty good power.

We’re going to be putting the Lectric XP 500-watt rear-hub-motor e-bike up against the Rambo Cruiser 500-watt mid-drive motor and we’re going to be doing a hill test with them… pretty impressive that the Lectric beat me… I really thought the Rambo was gonna win… The Rambo Cruiser definitely climbed up steep hills a lot easier… I definitely recommend the mid-drive if you have a lot of inclines that you’re constantly climbing up.

One of the main differences that I’ve noticed so far is the Lectric comes with a rack and fenders… Yes, [the Rambo Cruiser] is a lot more money but…there is a pretty good advantage on one thing on that bike and that’s the mid-drive motor and the torque that it has… You’re not going to beat the price and free shipping that [the Lectric] has… The noise of [the Cruiser’s] motor is very quiet…the way the pedal-assist kicks in is more fluid than on the Lectric… Do I think [the Cruiser] is worth over double the price? In my opinion, at [this price], no I do not.

The obvious upgrade on the 2.0 is that it comes with front suspension. That alone is worth the extra $100.

What blows my mind is with all of the upgrades they’ve made, all of the build quality improvements, all of these additions these bikes are still the exact same price as the previous model.

In my opinion this is the best value e-bike you can buy on the market.

The longest ride that I have taken at my weight, about 20 miles. It was on a rail trail in West Virginia. It was pretty flat. I still had over half the battery left.

I like how you can fold them up. They both fit in the back of the Jeep.

It comes with a 9.6 Ah battery which should be good for about 40 miles in the lowest PAS (pedal assist setting), but if you’re like me you ride in mainly PAS 2 to 3, you’re more likely to see that reduced to around 30 miles in real-world conditions. Going up hills, it’s great.

The price is actually very affordable. I think most people would call them an entry-level electric bike but in my opinion, you’re getting a lot of bike for the money.

These are just great for anyone who wants some exercise but maybe not the grueling bike workout.

Whether you’re short or tall these things will work for you.

The Lectric was designed to be as capable as possible at as low a price point as possible and considering what you get for the price in this second version, it is an impressive value.

Its messy frame welding, exposed cabling, cheap-feeling manual shifter, and other unrefined characteristics show where the maker cut corners to keep costs down.

Overall, we think this is a great e-bike for the price. It has a good build quality and great features such as the folding mechanism and the removable battery.
