Summary of Reviews
We have read all expert and user reviews on the Knog Blinder Road 600. In summary, this is what cyclists think. Published Feb 21, 2025 by Rachel Rushing.
7 reasons to buy
- Reviewers and owners say the Knog Blinder Road 600 feels robust.
- Testers feel this light provides sufficient illumination of urban roads at elevated speeds and unlit roads at lower speeds.
- Reviewers say the flood LED increases visibility and provides good side illumination.
- The flash patterns are bright and easy to see in the daytime, according to owners and a tester.
- Cutouts in the casing increase side-on visibility.
- This light can handle being submerged in water to a depth of three feet.
- The Knog Blinder Road 600 remembers the last mode used.
4 reasons not to buy
- At its brightest setting, the Blinder Road 600 lasts just one hour.
- Owners say the mounting straps break easily, in some cases after less than a month.
- Two testers find the small buttons very hard to operate when wearing gloves.
- The Knog Blinder Road uses the old USB-A standard for charging, not the newer USB-C.
Bottom line
The Knog Blinder Road 600 is a front bike light with four modes and a high/low setting. The included silicone straps fit round and aero handlebars from 22-35mm, but owners say they break easily. The waterproofing, robust build, and wide beam spread win praise. Some find the "fiddly" buttons hard to operate while wearing gloves, and the short run times disappoint. Experts say the Knog Blinder Road 600 is suitable for urban rides and for riding at lower speeds on unlit rural roads. Ultimately, competitors offer brighter lights at the same price and similar lights for less.Expert Reviews
