BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

- The Nomad 2X accelerates quickly and easily overcomes moderately steep hills in testing.

- Testers say pedal assist engages quickly, using torque or cadence sensor.
- Pedal assist is “smooth, responsive” when using the torque sensor.
- The MIK-compatible rear rack can carry 120lb.
- This bike has fenders, lights with turn signals and brake activation, and a USB-C charge port.
- Navigating and adjusting the display settings is impressively easy.
- The Nomad 2X has Apple FindMy tracking (iPhone users only).
- Testers enjoy the plush full-suspension ride over bumpy pavement and light off-road trails.
- The air suspension offers above-average tunability at this price point.

8 reasons not to buy
- A test bike displays an E40 error, temporarily cutting power to the motor, and two testers experience 'bugs' with the speed limits.
- The derailleur lacks a clutch, a fundamental omission on a bike marketed for “rough terrain.”
- Two reviews complain of pedal strikes, even on pavement.
- A tester feels the two-piston brakes are underpowered, given the bike’s huge payload capacity.
- The Nomad 2X is very heavy at a tested 86.8lb, almost 7lb over Velotric's stated weight.
- The “huge” saddle and adjustable stem are inappropriate on a bike aimed at off-roading.
- An expert finds the weight and long wheelbase result in poor maneuverability.
- One publication finds the 15 PAS settings excessive, with significant overlap between them.
Bottom line
Velotric’s Nomad 2X is a mixed-terrain e-bike with fat tires, full suspension, and a 750W, 105Nm motor. This version is marketed as a more off-road-capable alternative to the regular Nomad 2. However, Velotric’s claim that this bike “eats tough terrain for breakfast” is contradicted by the bike’s high weight, limited maneuverability, underpowered brakes, risk of pedal strikes, and lack of a derailleur clutch. On the other hand, the powerful motor, impressive cargo capacity, handy features and accessories, and comfort over light off-road trails make the Velotric a compelling choice for urban jaunts and non-technical multi-terrain adventures.Expert Reviews
