Overall, quite a solid offering. Taking this thing on and off can’t be easier. Another cool thing about it is, it’s got wheels. It’s quite expensive. There is a bit of vertical play. There is no option to include lights.

The Thule XTR Pro isn’t that great, in my opinion. The only highlight is the handle. It’s not very stable, it’s a lot of plastic, it’s low-quality construction. There’s a lot of quality control issues. I can’t really recommend this. The list goes on and on…

I’m gonna turn this knob and as I get to this particular point it just does not tighten the way it should and when I drove from Montreal back to Toronto, this was undone by 50%, so the rack was loose again.

The tray on the Pro XTR has three separate slots for various width tires; a narrow slot for road tires, a standard slot for tires up to 3″ wide, and the widest outer slot for tires up to 5″ wide.
