BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Luckeep X1. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

8 reasons to buy

  • This bike comes in two builds, X1 Lite (mechanical brakes and lower weight) and X1 (hydraulic brakes, higher peak motor power).
  • This bike has a phone mount with USB charging, integrated lights with brake activation at the rear, a 55lb-rated rear rack, and fenders.
  • The X1’s throttle and pedal assist are responsive and provide quick acceleration, according to experts.
  • Reviewers appreciate the comfortable ride, thanks to the 80mm suspension fork and 20” X 4” fat tires.
  • In testing, this bike climbs steep hills using pedal assist.
  • Reviewers praise the fact that the throttle is full power in every PAS level.
  • Experts say the X1 is easy to pedal without motor assistance.
  • Buyers have a choice of three colors with the X1 and four with the X1 Lite.

15 reasons not to buy

  • This bike's high speeds don't comply with e-bike rules, making it illegal in many jurisdictions.
  • Luckeep has apparently upgraded this bike, but specifications on the website are both unclear and conflicting. When contacted, Luckeep seemed unable to clarify anything.
  • Luckeep states rider fit of 5'4"-6'4", but two 5’9” reviewers complain the reach is too short.
  • Testers bemoan the floppy fenders that are held on with just one bolt.
  • Both builds weigh over 70lb, making them hard to lift or transport.
  • Experts and owners complain that the frame charging port and battery key lock are hard to reach.
  • Citing tight hinges, an awkward design, and the bike's heavy weight, both testers and owners struggle to fold and unfold this bike.
  • A reviewer reports ghost pedaling from 19mph on the X1.
  • Testers lament weaker acceleration in higher PAS levels.
  • In a range test, a 175lb reviewer manages only 21 miles at an average of 15mph using the throttle.
  • Several reviewers find the suspension fork too bouncy, especially over potholes and light off-road terrain.
  • One tester experiences power cutting out repeatedly while using the throttle.
  • Experts dislike the narrow 610mm handlebars, one saying it makes the bike feel unstable.
  • Reviewers and owners find the companion app useless.
  • Testers warn the front wheel can lift off the ground when pulling off.

Bottom line

The Luckeep X1 is a budget fat-tire folding e-bike. The two builds, X1 and X1 Lite, apparently have 750W motors and 720Wh batteries, but Luckeep makes it impossible to be sure of the exact specifications and features. The easy handling, strong acceleration, and smooth, responsive throttle earn praise. However, the X1 suffers from heavy weight, poor battery range, a basic suspension fork, and exaggerated fit range. Furthermore, folding is difficult and customer support is slow. Although the X1 builds are seen as good value for money, the many concerns, including non-compliant speeds, make the X1 hard to recommend.

Luckeep X1 Foldable Fat Tire E-Bike Is Shocking Good

I’m not going to say it’s the best bike I’ve ever been on because I’ve been on probably over 60 e-bikes, but it’s performing to its price point. I really think they did a good job on this thing.

Luckeep X1 is Fun, Fast, and Affordable

For a cheap folding fat tire 20” x 4” that goes 30mph, this is your bike. I like it a lot. It’s got a few flaws…

Better Than Lectric XP? Luckeep X1 Review

I really like it for what it is. For the price, I think it’s an excellent value. You get pretty decent travel in the suspension in the front. You get a nice front headlight. You get turn signals.

Luckeep X1 – Amazing Ride and Super Value for [Price]! Folding 750 Watt Fat Tire E-Bike & Many Extras!

I was very surprised at how solid it felt, how fast it was. It’s tuned so that you don’t get that strong jerk right off the line, but it does accelerate quite fast after you get your first initial push off.

Experience the Speed: Luckeep X1 Folding E-Bike Comprehensive Review

You can install a larger chainring so it will be much better at higher speed pedaling, but as is, it’s a pretty good job for throttle only. It gets to 30mph top speed.

Is the Luckeep X1 Perfect for You? Complete Electric Bike Review!

I really wish the suspension was a little better. I will tell you that it felt like there was something kind of bumping in through here, not major, but not the smoothest experience ever.

I Can’t Believe This E-Bike Is Only [Price] | Luckeep X1 Lite Review

When I unboxed this thing, it was a rather large e-bike. But when you’re on it, it’s very maneuverable for the size. I’m about 5’8” and it fits perfectly.

Luckeep X1 Folding Electric Bike Review

The folding feature is nice to have, and it’s much easier to put in the back of a car than a regular bike. It is heavy, so you may need someone else to help you put it away.
