Tuttio Soleil01 Mods and Upgrades
The Tuttio Soleil01 is a budget electric dirt bike with cheap parts and a relatively modest 48V electrical system.
While some reviewers stick with the stock build, many swap out things like the grips and “flimsy” fenders, and others modify or upgrade the drive system to deliver more speed and range.
In this article, we’ll highlight some possible upgrades and mods you can make to your Soleil01 to get the most out of it. But first, be warned that you will likely void the warranty by modifying the electrical system.
Tuttio Soleil01 Mods and Upgrades
The Soleil01 can be modified to enhance its performance or to try to make it appear street legal.
Bluetooth Dongle
A programmable Bluetooth dongle, such as this one by Fardriver is the easiest and cheapest way to increase the Soleil01’s top speed. Several YouTube creators, such as Amped Cycle, demonstrate how to complete this mod.
Motor Kit
A motor kit, such as that from the SOTION MOTOR STORE, can be used to upgrade the Soleil01’s 48V system to 72V in order to achieve even faster acceleration and higher top speeds than possible with the Bluetooth dongle, especially when paired with a larger rear sprocket.
Battery Upgrade
In order to complete the conversion to a 72V system, a 72V battery is required to match the motor and controller. Existing Tuttio Soleil01 owners have successfully installed an AMORGE 72V battery.
Safety Accessories and Street Tires
If you plan to ride your Soleil01 on on the road, you should install tires with street tread (14″ / 12″), because dirt bike tires offer poor grip on paved surfaces and are likely to result in a crash. The following accessories are also recommended:
– Lights
– Turn Signals
– Horn
Again, these mods don’t make the bike street legal, but they will help keep you safe on the road.
