BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews
We have read all expert and user reviews on the Freego X2. In summary, this is what cyclists think. Published Feb 23, 2026 by Jordan Grimes.
5 reasons to buy
- The Freego X2 is available in two builds, X2 (alloy frame, two-piston brakes, street tires), and X2 Pro (steel frame, four-piston brakes, off-road tires).
- Owners and testers relish the high top speed of around 45mph in Off-Road mode.
- The Freego X2 comes with fenders, a horn, and lights with brake activation. The X2 Pro also has turn signals.
- In Off-Road mode, a tester gets 19.56 miles of range at an average speed of 27mph.
- Though many testers say the bike is comfortable over pavement and light off-road terrain, some say it isn't.
10 reasons not to buy
- Multiple owners and testers receive damaged bikes, and several bikes fail within the first few rides. Freego doesn't respond to many of these owners.
- Two testers say the rear suspension is bouncy, and another says the fork easily bottoms out.
- Reviewers rate the X2 Pro’s four-piston brakes as “terrible”.
- Testers of both builds report noisy brakes and brake rotor rub due to poor alignment. Efforts to address this are mostly unsuccessful.
- The X2 suffers a drastic loss of speed and torque as battery charge drops, becoming “unusable” with two bars left.
- Testers say the battery indicator and speedometer cannot be trusted.
- All reviewers complain that the bike is extremely noisy, with various parts rattling and constant loud chain slap.
- A reviewer of the X2 says both tires were bald after 700 miles of riding.
- The X2 is top-heavy and hard to control, according to an expert.
- Reviewers warn to double-check all bolts, as they’re not tightened fully in the factory.
Bottom line
There are plenty of low-quality electric bikes on the market, and Freego’s X2 is among the worst of them. There’s little chance the X2 has passed through any level of quality control whatsoever. The poor factory assembly is matched only by the abysmal component quality. Nothing works well, and the bike either arrives broken or fails shortly after. If the electronics survive, the rest of the bike seems to fall apart, and it’ll make plenty of noise on its way to the scrapyard. Freego’s customer support appears equally as inept as whoever designed the disastrous X2 and X2 Pro.Expert Reviews
