Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Knog Mid Cobber Twinpack. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

10 reasons to buy

  • Knog’s wrap-around design projects a 330° arc of light output, creating excellent lateral visibility.
  • Front and rear Mid Cobbers offer 8x modes: 4x flashing, 1x strobe and 2x steady.
  • Reviewers and owners say these lights are very bright and can be seen from a significant distance.
  • Mid Cobbers come with mounting straps to fit your handlebar, seatpost and head tube.
  • Many owners find it easy to attach and detach Knog’s Mid Cobber lights.
  • Knog’s mounts and straps can be affordably and easily replaced.
  • Knog state that the Mid Cobber Twinpack is waterproof. Both lights are rated IP67.
  • At only 1.4 oz each, owners are delighted with this light set’s minimal weight.
  • Owners can program Cobber Mids with custom modes, flash patterns and brightnesses, using Knog’s ‘Modemaker’ app.
  • The Mid Cobber Twinpack is equipped with Knog’s 2-year warranty.

3 reasons not to buy

  • When mounted on handlebars, testers say the front Cobber Mid can spread light into a rider’s field of vision.
  • This light set’s asking price is at the ‘premium’ end of the scale.
  • Some owners had difficulty using Knog’s provided mounts and straps.

Bottom line

Knog’s Cobber Mid Twinpack allows riders to be clearly seen in traffic from the front, rear and either side. Their unique wrap-around design results in a highly visible rider profile, leading commuters to recommend these lights for urban use. Reviewers note that this light set isn’t aimed at the thriftiest budget, but for your money, you get a waterproof light set with a 2-year warranty. Mounts are provided to attach Cobber Mids to your bike’s head tube, handlebars and seatpost. When handlebar-mounted lengthwise, testers say the front light’s glare can obscure a rider’s vision. This can be avoided by mounting the light vertically on a head tube.

Review: Knog Cobber Bike Light – Colloquialism, Ahoy!

Front and rear Cobber bike lights are compact and bright. But they feature a key difference to most lights, they deliver a much broader spread of light that helps you get seen.

Knog Mid Cobber Twinpack Review

I’d go as far as to say the rear Mid Cobber Rear is one of the best taillights I’ve used. Just be mindful of where you position the front light.

Knog Cobber – The Best Light to Make You Visible [Spanish]

I have used the front Cobber Mid for up to 6 hours at maximum intensity. There are different modes that you can program by computer to save a little more battery life.
