BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the HOVSCO HovGtrs. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

8 reasons to buy

  • The HovGtrs is available with a 15Ah or 25Ah battery (Plus).
  • Testers appreciate how the long seat accommodates riders of different heights.
  • Reviewers say the bike easily handles moderate hills.
  • The handling is very nimble thanks to the short wheelbase, say testers.
  • Reviewers praise the hydraulic disc brakes for providing good stopping power.
  • The stated 450lb payload capacity is above average.
  • The HovGtrs comes with a headlight, taillight with brake activation and turn signals, and fenders.
  • At a claimed weight of 71.87lb, the HovGtrs is relatively light for a motorcycle-style e-bike.

14 reasons not to buy

  • The HovGtrs isn't certified for UL 2849 compliance, but the battery is certified for UL 2271.
  • Reviewers report ghost pedaling from 16mph.
  • Experts warn the power comes on strongly, whether using pedal assist or the throttle, causing the front wheel to lift.
  • Although advertised for riders 5’2” to 6’4”, the 32.2” saddle height is too high for riders at the low end.
  • The rear suspension is too stiff for testers weighing up to 220lb. One likens the ride to a pogo stick over bumpy pavement.
  • Assembly instructions and a guide to unlock the bike to Class 3 must be dug up on a third-party YouTube channel.
  • Some riders struggle to reach the claimed 32mph top speed.
  • A tester says the bike continuously slows down and speeds up again upon reaching the 20mph limit in Class 2 mode.
  • Reviewers say assembly is time-consuming, and the manual doesn’t order the instructions correctly.
  • Some reviewers say the brake levers feel soft and need to be bled when the HovGtrs arrives.
  • Testers say the throttle is difficult to modulate, slippery, and painful to hold down for extended periods.
  • The manual and product webpage offer contradictory and exaggerated specs.
  • Testers complain of delayed pedal assist activation and a one-second throttle lag.
  • Activating the turn signals requires a quick double-press of the pedal assist buttons. This prevents testers from quickly changing PAS level.

Bottom line

On paper, the HOVSCO HovGtrs's low price and features impress testers. The bike has a 750W motor, a choice of 720Wh or 1,200Wh batteries, full suspension, lights, fenders, and even a companion Bluetooth app. Unfortunately, its performance in testing is a big disappointment. The ride is bouncy over bumpy surfaces, and the "crude" power delivery is so aggressive that the front wheel can lift when accelerating. The HovGtrs also isn't UL-certified, and its listed specifications are exaggerated or incorrect. Overall, the HovGtrs's low price doesn't make up for its long list of issues.

Now, as far as the ride goes on the roadway… It did pretty good other than not holding its speed.

HOVSCO HovGtrs ([Price] Full-Suspension Moped-Style E-Bike Review)

It’s quite jumpy when you take off from a standstill. Now, you really want to be mindful because if you’re in those higher levels of pedal assist, that’s when you have full access to the full power of the throttle.

HOVSCO HovGtrs Review: Entry-Level Bike, Top-Tier Power

[It] doesn’t want to take us much past 26 to 27mph here… If you’re looking to buy this thing to get around in the city, this is a really nice feeling bike for that.

HOVSCO HovGtrs Moped-Style E-Bike Review

The ride is fun and predictable with enough power to satisfy everyday riders. It also comes well-equipped for its price tag… The rear suspension is quite stiff, but upgrades are easy given the standard components the bike uses.

Expensive E-Bikes Should Be Scared of the HOVSCO HovGtrs!

It’s pretty generic suspension. There’s no adjustments. You can’t increase the air pressure. There’s no preload or rebound or lockout or any of that stuff. But for what it is, it’s got a really good amount of support.

Best Beginner’s E-Bike? HOVSCO HovGtrs Plus Review

There’s no damper on the suspension at all, just a spring bouncing you around like a pogo stick. And it’s intensified with the short wheelbase of this bike.

HOVSCO HovGtrs E-Bike: Speed, Style, & Suspension

It’s not a comfortable pedaling position. And yet going up some of the hills, it does say you can go up a 15° incline, but you are going to need to pedal for some of that.
