The budget-friendly full-suspension HAOQI Mustang is marketed as a "premium electric mountain bike." The Bafang mid-drive motor and Shimano CUES 1x9 drivetrain impress at this price. However, the tires are inadequate for proper mountain biking, the soft suspension easily bottoms out, and the high weight and torque-heavy motor reduce maneuverability and control for technical trail riding. On pavement and light off-road terrain, the ride is comfortable, and the powerful motor also climbs steep hills with ease.
