The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Ecotric Bison. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

6 reasons to buy

  • Buyers praise the power of the 1000W hub motor, saying it handles steep climbs well.
  • Testers say the fat tires and full suspension deliver smooth riding on roads and light trails.
  • Experts relish the traction and stability of the knobby, extra-wide 4.8" fat tires, one saying they're "great for sand."
  • The Bison's hydraulic disc brakes demonstrate ample stopping power in tests.
  • Reviewers say the battery provides around 40 miles range using pedal assist and 25 miles using the throttle alone.
  • With the max speed unlocked, the Bison easily reaches 28mph.

5 reasons not to buy

  • Experts say the Bison is only suited to riders 5'10" and upwards.
  • The Bison is very heavy, weighing in at 79lb.
  • Testers say that the bike is hard to pedal without assistance due to the 4.8" tires and high weight.
  • Reviewers note that the bike's size and weight make it incompatible with most car carriers.
  • Some owners report motor and battery issues.

Bottom line

The Ecotric Bison is a full-suspension e-mountain bike with a powerful 1000W hub motor and 4.8" fat tires. Experts enjoy the riding range, hill climbing ability, smooth ride, and extra-wide tires. However, this bike weighs 79lb, so pedaling without assistance is challenging, as is maneuvering through technical off-road sections. The Bison is unsuitable for riders below 5'10", and several buyers report experiencing technical issues with their motors or batteries. While the Bison is deemed a "fun" bike, it's only really suitable for urban and light off-roading.

We live in a mountainous area; a lot of hills, a lot of steep roads, a lot of rough roads, and this Bison e-bike handled all of it like a champ.

Ecotric – Bison – 48V 1000W 26″ X 4.8″ Fat Tire E-Bike – Unbox & Run

…this bike is cool. It’s definitely got the features that I wanted, but I would like another 1000W motor up front.

E-Bike for Tall People Review

… it’s very comfortable to ride. Two minutes of riding, I I didn’t realize I was even riding, I was just cruising around with no problem going over grass, rocks; it didn’t matter.
