BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews
We have read all expert and user reviews on the Busch + Müller IQ-X. In summary, this is what cyclists think.
7 reasons to buy
- The IQ-X is StVZO-compliant, so the beam is shaped to avoid blinding other road users.
- Owners and experts praise the IQ-X's brightness, one saying it's brighter than their 1,500-lumen Lezyne Super Drive XXL.
- Experts praise the wide beam spread, long reach, and uniform illumination.
- The IQ-X provides good daytime visibility, according to owners.
- Buyers and experts say the slits on each side of the light offer good side-on visibility.
- Owners and testers appreciate the versatile mounting options, including sideways mounting.
- A long-term tester deems the IQ-X durable after two years of regular use.
8 reasons not to buy
- Busch + Müller hasn’t tested this light to define its resistance against water ingress (IP rating).
- Several owners report water ingress through the cable inlet, resulting in broken lights.
- Testers and owners complain that the IQ-X isn’t as bright at low speeds as competing dynamo lights.
- Owners say the plastic lens scratches easily.
- This light doesn’t have a flashing mode.
- The part of the mount arm that connects to the bike is plastic, and multiple owners say it breaks easily.
- The IQ-X is not compatible with rim (bottle) dynamos or electric bikes.
- Busch + Müller states the brightness in lux, not lumens, making it difficult to compare with other lights.
Bottom line
Busch + Müller’s IQ-X is a 100-lux StVZO-compliant hub dynamo headlight. Owners and testers praise the brightness, beam spread and reach, side-on visibility, and versatile mounting. However, the weak light output at low speeds, fragile plastic mount, scratch-prone plastic lens, and limited water resistance are worrying. Multiple owners report broken mounts and failed lights due to water ingress, meaning the IQ-X isn’t suitable for use on bumpy terrain, on very wet roads, or in heavy rain. Most experts and owners praise the IQ-X’s quality and value, but its apparent susceptibility to water damage and fragile mount reduce its appeal.Expert Reviews
