Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the C3STROM Astro Deluxe. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

12 reasons to buy

  • Testers agree the Astro Deluxe is very fast, exceeding the stated top speed of 32mph in unrestricted mode.
  • Reviewers relish the extremely comfortable ride.
  • Experts praise the quality and adjustability of the 100mm air fork and RockShox rear air shock.
  • The included 4A fast charger reduces charging times.
  • The Astro Deluxe can support a 360lb rider.
  • C3STROM says this bike fits riders from 5’3” to 6.6”.
  • Testers appreciate the “fantastic” four-piston hydraulic brakes with 203mm rotors.
  • The powerful 130-lux headlight has adjustable high and low beams. The taillight has brake activation and turn signals.
  • The “cool” moto style and “premium” finishing earn compliments from testers and looks from passers-by.
  • A reviewer likes the “big, bright” display.
  • Experts highlight the grip and comfort of the puncture-resistant CST Scout tires.
  • The Astro Deluxe has full-coverage fenders, a rack, and a horn.

9 reasons not to buy

  • This is a heavy e-bike at 99lb.
  • The Astro Deluxe is a single-speed, and testers experience ghost pedaling at around 14mph.
  • The “small” rack can only carry 33lb.
  • The turn signals don’t auto-cancel, and there’s no visual or audible indication when they’re on.
  • Removing the battery is tricky and risks damaging the key.
  • C3STROM states a range of 78 miles on PAS 1. Testers expect a real-world range of around 25 to 28 miles.
  • The bike resets to Class 3 when powered off.
  • Assistance cuts out when the battery indicator drops to around 5%.
  • A tester says the daytime running lights aren’t very visible in daylight.

Bottom line

C3STROM's Astro Deluxe is a moto-style e-bike with full suspension. Its premium components and design flair win praise. Likewise, the ride comfort, brakes, and speed impress. Some niggles include chain slap, non-canceling turn signals, the small cargo rack, and ghost pedaling. At 99lb, this bike is heavy, too. Experts agree the Astro Deluxe isn't cheap, but only pricier "real" electric motorbikes offer this combination of suspension performance and speed. Still, buyers should consider if other options, like the Ride1UP Revv 1, can do what they want for a lower price.

C3STROM Astro Deluxe – Expensive but Wow (Full Review)

I would highly suggest looking at different options out there, and if you really want the most comfortable bike out there that’s not a Sur-Ron or Talaria, that actually is a dirt bike [at] the end of the day, you might want to think about this one.
