Bike Size Charts

BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Vvolt Alpha. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

16 reasons to buy

  • Testers say this lightweight bike accelerates with plenty of pep.
  • The Alpha has no chain, just a quiet, clean, low-maintenance Gates belt drive.
  • The Vvolt Alpha is very competitively priced, with impressive features.
  • At this price, hydraulic brakes (by Radius) are impressive.
  • The Alpha weighs only 44 to 46lb.
  • Vvolt provides a three-year warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
  • The Alpha arrives almost fully assembled.
  • The 27.5” x 2" tires are versatile and forgiving, on-road and off-road.
  • The Vvolt Alpha is available in two frame sizes: S/M and L/XL.
  • The Alpha's many bolts and eyelets provide plenty of options for carrying cargo and water.
  • The Alpha’s battery is removable and can be charged off the bike.
  • A USB outlet is provided to power a phone.
  • The Alpha’s display pairs with Vvolt’s phone app for extra features.
  • The Alpha has a stiff thru-axle at the front.
  • Testers find the Alpha’s stock saddle and grips to be comfortable.
  • Rechargeable front and rear lights are included.

3 reasons not to buy

  • The lights are not integrated.
  • This is a single-speed e-bike. Fast riders may spin-out on flat roads, while riders in hilly areas might rue the lack of gears for climbing.
  • The Alpha lacks a throttle.

Bottom line

The Vvolt Alpha is a Class 1 urban e-bike. The concealed battery and quiet, clean Gates belt drive underpin an exceptional hub-drive bike at an exceptional price. For city riding, the 350W Xplova motor is plenty capable, whilst keeping weight down to an impressive 44 to 46lb. However, the single-speed drivetrain and five motor-assist levels may not suit riders in hilly areas. The Vvolt Alpha S is the step-through version of this bike. Testers are impressed by this stylish, high-performance, lightweight e-bike, especially at this affordable price.
