We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the ENGWE X20. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

6 reasons to buy

  • Testers say the X20 is "extremely" comfortable over bumpy roads and trails.
  • The X20 features automatic lights with brake activation and a kickstand.
  • Reviewers say the "bright" AMOLED display is easy to see.
  • Experts appreciate the X20's 330lb weight capacity.
  • The power settings in each PAS level are easily customized through the display.
  • The X20 folds up, making it easier to store.

11 reasons not to buy

  • An expert calls this bike "dangerously" heavy for use in traffic, with poor maneuverability and instability at low speeds.
  • The X20's immense bulk makes it "cumbersome" to lift and too heavy for most bike carriers.
  • Testers say this bike's size and weight make folding it challenging and unrewarding.
  • Some experts say the "flawed" rear suspension design lacks compliance.
  • The lack of foot pegs and wheel guards makes the passenger seat "dangerous," in a reviewer's opinion.
  • Some testers bemoan the clumsily tuned pedal assist, which makes smooth and safe progress difficult.
  • Reviewers find the X20 struggles to climb hills.
  • The 2A charger results in lengthy charging times.
  • Some testers complain about poor cable management.
  • The X20 doesn't have fenders.
  • Users frequently complain about unreliable ENGWE products and poor customer service.

Bottom line

ENGWE's X20 is a folding electric fat bike with 20" tires, a 750W motor, and optional dual batteries. The "excellent" comfort levels, 330lb carrying capacity, and bright AMOLED display win fans. However, the X20's extreme weight makes it impractical for folding or carrying and dangerously clumsy in urban traffic. Experts also frown at the "dangerous" passenger seat and poorly engineered rear suspension. Furthermore, some reviewers complain about the crudely tuned pedal assistance and frustrating lack of hill-climbing power. These are by no means this bike's only flaws, but they're more than sufficient to recommend avoiding the ENGWE X20.

ENGWE X20 Foldable E-Bike Review

This bike looks really good on paper—the motor size, the battery size, the three forms of suspension—all of this sounds great, but the execution of it is just so poorly done, in my opinion. I just don’t see the point.
