The Model E is the Electric Bike Company’s most affordable e-bike. It can be configured in either Class 2 or Class 3, reaching 20mph under throttle and 28mph via pedal assist. A step-through design caters to shorter and less-flexible users. Bengal hydraulic brakes are a bonus, at this price. But for some owners, they screeched without pause. Components are seen as durable and reliable. The 1000W of peak power impressed some testers but underwhelmed others. It comes as a single-speed but can be bumped up to a 7-speed for extra bucks.
