BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on Cinelli Gazzetta Della Strada. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

7 reasons to buy

  • The Gazzetta's style has received positive responses; it is intended to emulate classic touring bicycles. The style and finish (including flourishes on bottle-mounts and seat-clamps) was appreciated.
  • Two sets of brakes make this bike easy to ride through city areas, riding in an alert, upright position.
  • The chromoly steel frame was commended for its durability as well as its comfortable fit and ride.
  • It was deemed as ideally-suited to urban riding, commuting and shopping, due to the carrying capacity of the racks and the racy geometry.
  • Double-sided pedals allow the versatility of riding with either casual or clipless cycling shoes.
  • In wet weather, the mudguard came in handy.
  • The Brooks leather seat is a high-end addition that some riders valued.

4 reasons not to buy

  • Both experts and buyers were frustrated by the relatively low-grade componentry.
  • Value wasn’t seen as the best, considering parts quality.
  • Many reviewers remarked on the heavier-than-usual weight of this bike.
  • The handlebar brake-levers get in the way of large loads and forbid the use of a handlebar-bag.

Bottom line

The Gazzetta Della Strada is seen by most riders as a bike perfectly suited to urban use. The classic presentation was what attracted most buyers initially, with the steel frame being seen as a reliable bonus. The componentry was seen as a little under par, considering the average price. As such, the cost of upgrading parts may put some prospective buyers in mind of spending more on a model with a higher-quality drivetrain. That said, long-term users enjoyed the bike and usually rated it highly.

The angles are sporty, and are partly responsible for the bike’s apparent resemblance to an Eighties lightweight, although a slightly sloping top tube betrays its modern provenance.

Review: Cinelli Gazzetta Della Strada

Level 1 expert

If you are looking for a pure performance bike, then the Cinelli Gazzetta Della Strada is probably a little too heavy for you, but if you are looking for a trusty bike that will put some zip in your commute and work well for a day in the country, then this is excellent value.

The Cinelli Gazzetta is a pretty steel bike for a really attractive price. However, the equipment comes mostly from the very cheap corner…
