Bike Size Charts

BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Aventon Pace 4. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

13 reasons to buy

  • Aventon's Pace 4 comes in two sizes.
  • Reviewers praise the smooth, responsive power from both pedal assist and the throttle.
  • The Pace 4 feels agile and responsive, according to testers.
  • Reviewers enjoy the comfort of the sprung saddle and suspension seatpost.
  • Experts climb steep hills easily using max pedal assist.
  • In one publication's max assist range test, two reviewers (190lb and 180lb) get an average range of 40.9 miles on a flat paved route.
  • The included 4A charger charges the large battery in just five hours.
  • The Pace 4 comes with a headlight and frame-integrated taillights with turn signals.
  • Experts are pleased with the stopping power from the Tektro hydraulic disc brakes.
  • The BMX-style handlebars can be tilted to fine-tune reach.
  • A Bluetooth companion app allows users to swap between Classes 2 and 3, tune power output, and access security features.
  • The integrated battery is keyless and can be unlocked through the app or display.
  • The low 16” step-through height makes the bike easy to get on and off.

10 reasons not to buy

  • Aventon claims the Pace 4 has a brake inhibitor switch, but it doesn't. It also lacks brake light activation.
  • A tester finds the battery charge port's position below the down tube awkward to reach.
  • The small display’s font and graphics are difficult to read, say experts.
  • A 5’11” reviewer finds the size L too long, causing them to lean forward and put excess pressure on their hands.
  • A tester complains about the harsh front end while riding over cracked pavement.
  • The rubber chainstay protector starts to peel off one test bike after the first ride.
  • The headlight can get caught in the cabling on both sides in sharp turns.
  • Aventon’s security features require a paid subscription beyond the first year.
  • The Pace 4 doesn't come with a rack or fenders.
  • Aventon provides contradictory product specifications on the webpage and in the manual.

Bottom line

The Aventon Pace 4 is a step-through e-bike with a 500W motor and 715.7Wh battery. It comes in two sizes and earns praise for its appearance, mostly smooth ride, well-tuned power delivery, ample range, effective brakes, and security features. The customizability and security features require Aventon's app, and a subscription is needed to avail of the security extras after the first year. The small display, harsh front end, and lack of included accessories disappoint, and the discrepancies in product specs are troubling. But overall, reviewers feel the Pace 4's value matches its competitors.

This whole ride was comfortable today. This bike coasts super long. [The] paint job’s always excellent on these bikes… I cannot see, without squinting, the battery level on this bike.
