BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews
We have read all expert and user reviews on the SCOTT Addict. In summary, this is what cyclists think.
11 reasons to buy
- The SCOTT Addict is available in six builds with the choice of SRAM or Shimano groupsets. All but the entry-level build have electronic shifting.
- Testers appreciate the 34mm stock tires for venturing onto light gravel and dirt paths, and the Addict has clearance for up to 38mm.
- The smooth ride and upright riding position are perfect for long days in the saddle across varied surfaces, according to reviewers.
- Experts relish the Addict’s calm, stable handling on fast descents and through sweeping corners.
- Two testers praise the bike’s relatively nimble handling.
- It’s easy to maintain a fast pace on the “steam engine” Addict once up to speed.
- Experts find the handlebar's shape comfortable (all builds but Addict Premium), highlighting the flat tops and subtle six-degree flare.
- In each build tier, the Addict is significantly cheaper than most competing endurance models.
- The handlebar widths (36-42cm) and crank lengths (165-175mm) across the size range are in line with modern standards.
- All reviewers compliment the Addict’s sleek, “pleasing” design.
- The Addict has a bar-integrated T25 tool that works for all the main adjustments. The top two builds (Team, 10) have a frame-integrated toolkit.
4 reasons not to buy
- An expert complains about the slightly sluggish acceleration.
- Typical of endurance road bikes, experts find the Addict lacks the exciting reactivity of racier models.
- Third-party out-front head unit mounts don’t attach properly due to the handlebar shape, and SCOTT’s mounts cost from $70 to $110.
- The Addict doesn’t have mounts for fenders.
Bottom line
Though SCOTT doesn’t specifically market the Addict as off-road-ready, the 38mm tire clearance, compliant ride, and stable handling give it the versatility of a light-duty gravel machine. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Addict lacks the exciting feel of racier alternatives, which will deter roadies who want endurance comfort without giving up the performance edge, such as with Specialized's Aethos 2. But for those riders who are happy to trade some top-end responsiveness for a more well-rounded and approachable overall package, the SCOTT Addict puts forward a strong case for consideration with its aggressive pricing.Expert Reviews
