BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.

We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.

It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.

If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews

We have read all expert and user reviews on the Scicon Sports Aerocomfort 3.0. In summary, this is what cyclists think.

8 reasons to buy

  • Experts and buyers feel the Aerocomfort 3.0 is well-constructed and praise the durable materials. One uses it successfully for two years, and others report positive experiences after multiple flights.
  • The handlebar and seat don't need to be removed to use this bag.
  • Most find installing frames onto the bag’s integrated “frame defender” support system a smooth process.
  • Bikes are secure and stable once installed, according to experts and owners.
  • The Aerocomfort 3.0 accommodates quick-release and thru-axles and comes with adapters for both.
  • Testers and owners say the bag's 360° spinning wheels, removable pull strap, and removable shoulder strap make it easy to maneuver through airports.
  • This bag folds down when not in use and comes with a storage bag to keep it compact.
  • No one reports any problems when checking the Aerocomfort 3.0 with airlines.

5 reasons not to buy

  • An expert and multiple owners struggle with the written and video instructions. However, Scicon acknowledges the video may lack details, and encourages owners to contact customer service with any questions.
  • Experts and buyers feel the bag doesn’t provide enough protection for rear derailleurs. An optional protective case is available, but most suggest removing the rear derailleur, which requires additional time and tools.
  • Though handlebar and top-tube pads are included, testers and owners feel additional frame padding is needed to protect bikes. Some resort to DIY solutions or opt for additional Scicon accessories, adding to the cost.
  • Some can’t pass axle skewers through the support stand. Two note this is caused by a blockage from sloppy metal welds and fix it themselves by sanding material away.
  • An owner says the bag is a "tight fit" for their 61 cm S-Works SL7 with a 120mm stem.

Bottom line

The Scicon Sports Aerocomfort 3.0 is a soft-shell travel case for one road bike. A triathlon version is available. Using this bag doesn't require removing the handlebar or saddle. The bag earns praise for its airport-friendly design and solid construction. Some, however, feel it doesn’t provide sufficient protection for the rear derailleur, which they recommend removing. Most also opt for additional frame padding to increase protection during transport. The supplied instructions prove difficult for some, and minor production flaws slip past quality control. Overall, experts appreciate the convenience of the soft-shell Scicon Aerocomfort 3.0 and deem it good value.

Scicon Aerocomfort 3.0 TSA Review: Travel Made Easy

It seems prudent to take the rear derailleur off if you have thru-axles, but otherwise, you really don’t need to disassemble the bike, and I’ve seen it survive countless trips with no issues.
