BikeRide finds and shows you the best prices of the bikes you want to buy. Prices constantly change and it’s impossible to compare them all yourself.
We search for prices on over 120 bike retailers to guarantee that we find the lowest prices – to save you time and money.
It’s a promise we stand behind: If you find a lower price on a bike elsewhere, we will sell it to you for 10% less. For example, if you find a bike for $480 that we have listed at $500, we will offer you to buy it for $432 through BikeRide. The bike must be the same color and size, sold in the US and not include the use of a coupon.
If you find a lower price, email us at [email protected] with documentation of the price. We’re committed to making sure that the cost of a bike does not keep you from cycling!

Summary of Reviews
We have read all expert and user reviews on the OTTOLOCK Cinch Lock. In summary, this is what cyclists think.
5 reasons to buy
- The Cinch Lock is available in two versions: the Original with three stainless steel layers and the HEXBAND with six.
- Testers and owners say the compact Cinch Lock is easy to store and transport, fitting in pant or jersey pockets.
- Reviewers appreciate the Cinch Lock’s low weight.
- The outer plastic material is soft and doesn’t scratch frames, according to experts.
- An optional frame mount is available for this lock.
5 reasons not to buy
- Both versions of the Cinch Lock offer minimal security. Testers cut the Original with tools as compact as tin snips.
- Owners say the locking mechanism jams easily and randomly stops recognizing the selected combination. This occurs for some upon first use or after a few weeks.
- Some owners find they’re able to pull the band out of the lock head when it should be locked.
- Experts feel the dials are too small, stiff, and difficult to align.
- A tester and several owners of the Original Cinch Lock say the rubber strap to keep the lock coiled breaks easily.
Bottom line
OTTOLOCK's Cinch Lock is a zip-tie-style combination lock for bikes. It comes in two versions: The Original and the more robust HEXBAND. Both versions are available in 18, 30, or 60-inch lengths. It hasn't been third-party tested. The Cinch Lock's portability and low weight are valued. Unfortunately, the finicky and sometimes faulty locking mechanism frustrates buyers. Some use the lock successfully for years, while others experience problems upon initial use, potentially indicating quality control issues. Experts agree the Cinch Lock is a great option as a short-term theft deterrent in low-risk environments, but it's pricey for the security offered.Expert Reviews
