Susan G. Komen Maryland Promise Ride

Komen Maryland is mobilizing the Maryland and DC cycling communities to
save lives and end breast cancer forever through a one-day organized cycling
event on beautiful routes through Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties. The
event will include routes for all ability levels, from a 12-mile recreational route
to a challenging 100-mile “century.”

The ride begins and ends at South River High School in Edgewater, MD and
is fully supported with SAG vehicles, police and motorcycle guides. There
will be a breakfast and post-Ride celebration at the start/finish site and the
course will feature rest stops every 12-15 miles on the longer routes, and half
way on the 12-mile route. Cyclists will each commit to raising a minimum of
$100. The event has received overwhelmingly positive feedback in its first
three years.
