Paw Paw Vineyard Classic Bike Tour
The Vineyard Classic Bicycle Tour is one of the traditional events hosted as part of the Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival taking place on September 6-8, 2024. The tour itself is Sunday morning, September 8. Registration is at Van Buren County Human Services Building, on Hazen Street (just north of Red Arrow Highway) in Paw Paw. Kids under 12 ride for FREE. Proceeds go for college internships in Southwest Michigan. 2024 will mark the 43rd year for the Vineyard Classic. The tour features 3 different routes that travel past vineyards, orchards, woodlands, creeks, rivers, lakes, and neighboring villages. Cyclists will be able to choose from the three routes that include 23 miles, 43 miles or 57 miles. Route maps are provided along with MapMyRide guidance. The tour includes 2 sag stops in Lawton and Decatur where beverages, sandwich bar, and famous Vineyard Classic Cookies are featured. The Black River Amateur Radio Club provides on-route radio support and supervision. This event is a great way to enjoy a Sunday morning while experiencing the smells and ambiance of Michigan’s wine country.
