Richmond Area Bicycle Association presents the annual Poole and Poole Architecture Heart of Virginia Bike Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024. Cycle along the paths of Patrick Henry and the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary War route and enjoy central Virginia’s historic, rolling and scenic countryside.

This fully supported event features rest stops, SAG support and four routes: a Family Friendly ride (11 Miles); Half-Metric Century (34 Miles); Metric Century (65.5 Miles); and challenging Century (new 102-mile route). After the ride, stick around for a great meal and a good time.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Brain Injury Association of Virginia and the RABA Foundation’s Bikes for Kids program and other charitable activities.

For 35 years, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia has been devoted to serving Virginians with brain injury, their families and those who care for them. Its mission is to advance education, awareness, support, treatment and research to improve the quality of life for all people affected by brain injury.

The RABA Foundation’s Bikes for Kids program raises money to purchase bicycles and helmets for the Richmond area Christmas Mothers programs, which distributes them to less-fortunate parents with children. Remember how much fun it was to find a bike next to the Christmas tree? We make that dream come true for kids in need.
