The 200-on-100 is a single-day, double-century that travels the length of Vermont, from the Canadian Border to the Massachusetts state line, primarily following VT-100. The first half of the ride is mostly rolling, with some easy climbs. It is in the second half that things get really interesting with a series of climbs that get progressively more difficult, culminating in a 12-mile pull named the Mt. Snow Climb, after the ski area on the other side. Riders are self-supported, either with cooperative sag, or simply by stocking up at the many country stores along the route. No rules, no prizes, no entry fees, the 200-on-100 first ran in 1984, making it a true Vermont classic.
