  • One tester notes smooth transition between assist levels.
  • Reviewers see the XP 3.0 Long-Range as an affordable option.
  • The bike is available with either a step-through or stepover frame.
  • With a 14Ah battery, Lectric say the bike can cover up to 65 miles of range.
  • Braking impressed. Testers like to see 180mm brake rotors.
  • Testers praise the gear range provided by the bike’s 11-28t freewheel.
  • A 50mm-travel suspension fork provides cushioning over moderate judder.

6 reasons not to buy

  • Two testers found the bike’s brakes to be consistently noisy.
  • At 65lb, the XP 3.0 Long-Range is heavy and awkward to carry when folded.
  • The bike must be folded in order to remove the battery.
  • A reviewer says the bike’s non-lockable grips spin on handlebars easily.

Bottom line

The Lectric XP 3.0 Long-Range is identical to the XP 3.0, with the exception of a larger 14Ah battery. Lectric say this battery can attain up to 65 miles of range. Testers reached 22-30 miles under real-world use. Reviewers said brakes were powerful, but some testers complained of noisiness. One tester’s rear brake started smoking on a descent. Compared to the XP Long-Range 2.0, the 3.0 has:

  • An 11-28t Freewheel (vs. 14-28t on the 2.0).
  • A 50mm suspension fork (vs. 40mm).
  • 180mm brake rotors (vs. 160mm).
  • Hydraulic brakes.
But perhaps most importantly, it now has a frame-integrated rack capable of carrying 150 lb of cargo (or a passenger, with an aftermarket passenger kit).

Lectric XP 3.0 Review: Yes! The Best Affordable E-Bike Just Got Better

Lectric is known for taking its customers’ feedback into consideration. With the 3.0 they did just that. It’s objectively a better electric bike with no change to the price. We kind of recommend just going with the Long-Range, it helps you fight that range anxiety right off the bat. We do really think it is worth it.

Lectric XP 3.0 Long-Range E-Bike Review ~ One of the Best Selling Lectric Bicycles Just Got Better!

Very impressed overall with just the rad quality, the smoothness of the pedal assist levels. One of the quietest bikes that I’ve ever tested. Very similar power to the 2.0. Loving that 11-28t freewheel. The brakes definitely need some improvements. The back pad back brake is smoking. The battery is dead. I went 22 miles. It has tons of power.

Lectric XP 3.0 Long Range Folding Step Thru 1000W Electric Bike Review

Really just the perfect bike for getting around town, grabbing groceries, running errands. It’s certainly a big upgrade from the 2.0 but my only gripe with this bike is the cheap brakes. They make a lot of noise, they squeal. This thing is wicked cheap.

Lectric XP 3.0 – An Honest Review of the New 28+ MPH Folding E-Bike!

This is a better all-around bike than any XP before it. Because I only had a day with this bike before I got this footage all together, I’ve only had 25 miles of actual riding and in that time I only lost two bars out of the full battery meter and that’s on throttle-only in pedal assist level five.
