Brake the Cycle of Poverty
Our 13th annual “Brake the Cycle of Poverty” ride through the beautiful rolling hills of rural Berks County is August 13th.
The event features 4 courses: The 62-mile Metric Century rides through all 4 covered bridges in Berks County, a 40-mile gentle rolling hills ride crosses two covered bridges, another with 25 miles of moderate hills, and a flat 10-mile scenic ride perfect for beginners and families too. All four rides feature breath-taking views, rolling hills, winding backroads, best-in-class GPS and SAG support, nourishing rest stops, and well-marked roads. There’s also food, drink, medical massage, music, and more when we’re done.
This is a beautiful ride for a beautiful cause and we thank you for your help in promoting the event. While fundraising is not required to participate, a rider’s sponsorship provides critical financial support to the range of community services we provide. Each rider gets their own crowdsourcing page and those who raise at least $300 receive a Friend, Inc. cycling jersey as our thank you. www.friendcycling.org
