2018 Ride for New Beginnings

The Ride for New Beginnings ( https://ridefornewbeginnings.org ) is an annual, fully supported, multi-day (5-day or 3-day) bicycle ride to raise critical funds for the children and youth served by Harbor House ( http://www.OceansHarborHouse.org ).

We will be riding 320 miles in 5 days.

The funds raised from this ride have supported thousands of kids and families over 21 years. The ride has become one of the most important fundraising events for Harbor House.

DAY 1: The route will start out in Barnegat, NJ. Ending in beautiful Cape May at a beach side Hotel. We will be here for two nights so you can enjoy some summer fun and the historic painted ladies (Victorian houses) of Cape May.

DAY 2: Our “Fun Ride day” is a 50-mile loop around the Cape May area and surrounding towns touring both coasts of the Cape May peninsula. This will be an easy ride day. A possible SAG stop if you desire at a Winery or Microbrewery for some refreshment. This is not required. We will also stop at the Cape May lighthouse, which gives a great view of the Bay and town.

DAY 3: Leave Cape May and take a northern inland route, riding along the quiet roads through Cape May County up to the Atlantic City Boardwalk where we will end the day. One of the casino resorts on the Boardwalk will be our accommodations for the evening.

DAY 4: Head west winding our way through the scenic countryside of south Jersey. Rolling through Mays Landing and other scenic and peaceful areas of our beautiful state, ending our day in Voorhees. Our accommodations for the evening land us close to a variety of restaurants.

Day 5: We head for home weaving through the quiet and peaceful Pine Barrens, heading east into Toms River ending at Harbor House, where we join our family, friends, staff and clients in a spectacular celebration with music, food and other fun festivities to celebrate another successful ride.
