The Dog Days Wine Tour

The Silver Wheels Cycling Club, Inc. is proud to announce the 12th Annual Dog Days Wine Tour, offering route distances of 37, 45, 65, 100, and 125 miles. Your ride will include beautiful rolling farmland, quiet country roads, up to 7 fully stocked rest stops, SAG drivers, maps, cue sheets, optional Ride with GPS files, and of course, each route is well-marked with our unique road wine bottle arrows. Plus a fabulous cookout at the end of your ride!

Many of our rest stops are at area wineries. Depending on which route you choose to ride, you will visit between 1 and 5 wineries. You can sample some wine at the rest stops if you wish. And if you want to buy a bottle or more to take home, we’ll haul it back to the Lions Club for you. Our 5 outstanding wineries this year include:

Vermilion Valley Vineyards,
Redhead Ciderhouse Hard Cider at Burnham Orchards,
D & D Smith Winery LLC (new this year!) and
Paper Moon Vineyards (new this year!).

We have new designs for our DDWT cycling jerseys and performance t-shirts, and Dog Days Wine Socks might be available at check-in!
