A “Spring Classic” for those of you who don’t particularly like riding on dirt roads. The Fleche Buffoon is our tribute to the Ardennes Classics (Fleche Wallonne, Amstel Gold Race & the oldest of the classics, Liege-Bastogne-Liege). It is a circa 75 mile hilly ride through the Bucks County, PA & Hunterdon County, NJ countryside. The challenging course features 14 steep climbs over its route. Along the way there will be miles of country roads, scenic farmland and quaint river towns. In true Amstel fashion, there will even be an authentic Dutch windmill along the course (in Holland Township nonetheless). According to Ride with GPS, the course has 6100′ of total elevation gain. Again, this course is entirely paved, no dirt, unlike our other Spring Classics, the Hell of Hunterdon, the Fools Classic, and the Sourland Semi-Classic.
