Enjoy the Trails of The Oil Region on a 3 day tour of the trails. The ride will will be centered in Franklin, Pa.

On your first day, Friday June 16, 201,7 you will ride from Franklin.south to Emlenton on the Allegheny River Trail and enjoy spending time in the small town and experience its charm returning in the afternoon to Franklin.

On Saturday, June 17, 2017, you will ride from Franklin north on the Samuel Justus Trail to Oil City and then to Oil Creek State Park Trial to the city of Titusville. While in Titusville you will be able to “hitch” a ride back back to Oil city on the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad and learn about “the valley that changed the world”.

On Sunday, June 18, 2017, you will travel south on the Allegheny River Trail to the scenic Belmar Bridge where you will then travel on to the Sandy Creek Trail. Another option will be to “Paddle and Pedal” You will have an opportunity to kayak down the Allegheny River to Fisherman’s cove where you will be rejoined with your bike to ride back to Franklin ending your enjoyable weekend in Western Pennsylvania.

Another amenity is that the City of Franklin will also be hosting the Franklin Blues and BBQ Festival. Where after a day of riding, you will be able to enjoy great music and BBQ in Franklin’s two city parks.

All proceeds from this weekend will go to the Allegheny Valley Trails Association for the maintenance of these beautiful trails.
