The Tour de Lure is a 71 mile charity bike ride in Western North Carolina that winds through McDowell County, up Stone Mountain, through Chimney Rock and around Lake Lure before heading back to McDowell County via the Assault on Mt. Mitchell route with a  total of 5600’ of ascension. The event also includes a shorter 23 mile Fun Ride which is great for those new to cycling.
