6/5 Sequoia Century: Foothill College, Los Altos Hills. One of the most beautifully challenging rides in the San Francisco Bay area. Riders will travel through Stevens Canyon and Redwood Gulch past redwood forests and through small towns on the way to the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to stop at all of the outstanding rest stops to fuel up because after a ride along the coast, riders again pass through rural areas and then get ready for a quiet yet challenging climb up Tunitas Creek. Unquestionably among the best biking roads in the Bay Area, or anywhere else. Total distances range from 70 to 120 miles while climbs range from 6,700 to 10,000 ft. Riders are invited to stay after for a great post-ride meal and story telling of their awesome ride. For more information visit www.westernwheelers.org/sequoia.
